IT Technician – Head Office (London)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Technician for our Head Office in London, Ontario. The role provides technical support for end‑users, maintains hardware and software, and ensures smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical assistance for computer systems, software, and hardware issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as system updates, backups, and endpoint protection.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding of employees by setting up and de‑provisioning workstations.
• Maintain CCTV system across dealerships and manage phone system extensions.
• Provide first‑level network support for onsite devices (wireless APs, routers, switches, POS media players).
• Document tickets, track issues, and collaborate with senior IT staff for complex problems.
• Coordinate with external contractors for repairs and participate in on‑call support after hours.

Required profile

• Certificate or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology or related field.
• At least 2 years of IT help‑desk or support experience in a multi‑site environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence (G).

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Computer hardware troubleshooting.
• Networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS).
• Familiarity with MDM, VMware virtualization, Veeam or Wasabi backup solutions (preferred).
