IT Support Specialist (Remote, 4-month Contract)

About the role

As an IT Support Specialist you will deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 assistance to end‑users, handling hardware, software, access and collaboration tools. The position is remote and lasts four months with a chance of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, conferencing systems, VPN and core business applications.
• Resolve user account and access requests, including MFA resets, group and application access.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding activities such as device provisioning and access setup.
• Document tickets, status updates and resolutions in the ITSM platform.
• Communicate with customers, provide timely updates and follow‑up until closure.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate resolver teams with clear context.
• Support device lifecycle tasks: deployment, inventory, refresh and returns.
• Contribute to knowledge‑base articles and suggest automation or process improvements.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in IT support, service desk or end‑user computing.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities in Windows and macOS environments.
• Familiarity with identity and endpoint management tools.
• Experience using an ITSM tool such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tickets and meet SLA expectations.
• Understanding of ITIL incident, request and escalation processes.
