IT Specialist – Information Technology

About the role

This position is an on‑site Information Technology (IT) Specialist role focused on delivering and supporting business‑critical information systems. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to understand their needs and ensure that solutions meet technical and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Confer with clients to identify and document technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement information systems and business solutions.
• Provide advice on IT strategy, policy, management, and service delivery.
• Assess physical and technical security risks to data, software, and hardware.
• Develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans for security breaches.
• Implement policies throughout the software development life‑cycle.
• Conduct quality‑assurance reviews and usability testing.
• Operate testing equipment to ensure product quality.
• Offer post‑sale support and document test results for software and telecommunications systems.

Required profile

• College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate/diploma (1‑2 years).
• 1 to 2 years of experience in IT service delivery, quality assurance, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in an office environment.
