IT Security Associate

About the role

This remote position supports the security and integrity of enterprise IT systems by implementing cybersecurity policies and operational controls. You will protect critical business assets through user access management, security monitoring, and risk assessment while ensuring compliance with established standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage user administration processes, including provisioning, modifying, reviewing, and removing system access based on job roles and security policies.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and operational controls across the organization.
• Monitor security tools and systems to identify potential threats, investigate security events, and assist in incident response activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to identifying, documenting, and mitigating security risks.
• Prepare and maintain risk, control, technical, and process documentation to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve security practices and support ongoing cybersecurity initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in IT security, cybersecurity operations, system administration, or a related technology role.
• Understanding of identity and access management principles, including user provisioning and access governance.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
