IT Field Service Technician – On‑Call & Sporadic Assignments

About the role

Kelly Services is seeking experienced IT Field Service Technicians to provide on‑site hardware, networking and printer support for a client. The role is primarily sporadic and on‑call, with assignments scheduled between 9 am and 5 pm and occasional overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and re‑configure hardware such as printers (e.g., Lexmark CX833), desktops, laptops and servers.
• Perform network troubleshooting and resolve connectivity issues.
• Execute IMAC (install, move, add, change) projects and POS installations.
• Provide timely, professional customer service and adhere to Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain accurate service stock levels and complete ticket‑based work.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on hardware, networking and troubleshooting experience.
• At least 6 months of proven customer‑service experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and personal vehicle.
• Must own a laptop, cell phone, basic tool kit and console cable.
• Willingness to travel, work sporadic tickets and stay overnight when required.

Required skills

• A+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Hardware installation and repair.
• Network troubleshooting.
• Printer repair (Lexmark CX833 experience preferred).
• POS installation.
