IT Field Service Technician – On‑Call Hardware & Network Support

About the role

Kelly Services is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to provide on‑site hardware, networking and troubleshooting support for a client. The role involves short‑term, on‑call assignments, including a scheduled monitor replacement project on July 2‑3.

Key responsibilities

• Replace 52 workstation monitors, uninstall old units and install new left‑side HUB and right‑side secondary monitors.
• Dispose of old monitors for recycling and ensure all cables are routed through cable trays.
• Remove 26 docking stations and power cables for recycling and verify sit‑stand desks operate without disconnecting patch cables.
• Confirm all monitors function correctly and document serial numbers per workstation.
• Perform hardware, desktop, laptop, server and printer repairs, network troubleshooting and POS installations.
• Execute IMAC (install, move, add, change) projects and maintain accurate service stock levels.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hardware, networking and troubleshooting experience; in‑field work is a plus.
• At least 6 months of proven customer‑service experience.
• A+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s licence, clean driving record and personal vehicle.
• Own cell phone, laptop and basic tool kit; willing to travel and stay overnight if required.

What we offer

• Pay rate $29 per hour for the upcoming assignment.
• Future sporadic/on‑call roles paid $26‑$29 per hour plus 4 % vacation pay.
• Paid mileage for designated distances.
• Flexible schedule between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
