About the role
The IT Desktop Administrator will work on‑site at our Edmonton corporate office, providing advanced technical support to all divisions of LFL. This full‑time position involves both end‑user assistance and system administration of key enterprise technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver advanced Windows OS, hardware, application, printer, and networking support via ticketing system while meeting SLA targets.
- Administer enterprise systems such as Anti‑virus, WSUS, Active Directory, DNS, asset discovery, remote management, imaging, and cloud services.
- Maintain and update specified applications and servers on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Track physical and software assets, manage vendor relationships, and document procedures.
- Support project teams, facilitate system setups for events or training, and assist with technology infrastructure projects.
- Order and track hardware and software equipment using procurement processes.
Required profile
- Degree or diploma in Information Systems, IT, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of advanced Windows OS support in a 2008/2012 domain environment.
- Practical operational knowledge of Linux/Unix.
- 5+ years managing enterprise‑level systems (RSAT, MDM, BMC Client Management, Exchange, Office365, AV, cloud computing, etc.).
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Relevant certifications (A+, CCNA, MCSE, MCP, Project+, etc.) highly desired.
- Excellent written and oral English communication, high ethical standards, and ability to work independently.
