Ironworker – Structural Steel & Reinforcement

About the role

We are looking for a skilled ironworker to join our team in Vancouver. The role involves erecting and installing structural steel, reinforcing concrete, and assembling metal buildings on outdoor construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Perform on‑site calculations and signal crane operators to position units.
• Align, weld or bolt steel units in place and dismantle existing metal structures.
• Inspect and test structures and equipment for defects or non‑compliance.
• Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms.
• Unload and position steel units for hoisting as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of ironworking experience.
• Ability to work outdoors at heights in noisy, fast‑paced environments.
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads, standing for long periods, and performing manual dexterity tasks.
• Own safety equipment such as steel‑toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves.
