Inventory Control Clerk

About the role

CDC Computers is seeking an organized Inventory Control Clerk to join our Winnipeg team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, supporting purchasing activities, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the inventory control system, verify stock availability and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Prepare purchase orders, obtain price quotations, and process international purchase orders.
• Receive, unpack, and inspect goods, matching receipts with packing slips.
• Compile inventory reports, monitor stock rotation, and reconcile physical counts with computer records.
• Handle routine clerical duties such as filing, invoicing, and processing sales transactions.
• Provide customer service by supplying information on materials and resolving supplier delivery issues.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse control.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic security clearance, bondable, and able to pass criminal and driving record checks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with email communication.
• Experience using inventory control software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work with spreadsheet applications.
