Intermediate Frontend Developer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Join Best Buy Canada’s Technology team as an Intermediate Frontend Developer. In this 12‑month fixed‑term position you will help create innovative, customer‑focused web applications while working in a remote‑first, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug and demonstrate front‑end features in an Agile setting.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align front‑end technologies with service design, data flow and scalability.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and daily stand‑ups to ensure high‑velocity delivery.
• Communicate project status and risks proactively and work cross‑functionally to solve customer‑facing issues.
• Support incident and change management processes, resolve production issues and ensure smooth front‑end deployments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience designing and developing front‑end applications.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility standards and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress or React Testing Library.
