Intermediate Construction Coordinator / Supervisor

About the role

Join WSP in Yellowknife as an Intermediate Construction Coordinator / Supervisor, supporting mine closure and environmental remediation projects across remote sites in Northern Canada. You will work on a 2‑weeks on / 2‑weeks off rotational schedule, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality field execution in extreme outdoor conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day construction and field activities for mine closure and remediation projects.
• Ensure work complies with safety, environmental, regulatory and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, contractors and clients to align schedules, productivity and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and quality‑control checks.
• Support health, safety and environmental plans in remote, extreme environments.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and field records using MS Office tools.
• Facilitate clear communication across field teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction coordination, supervision or related roles, preferably in environmental or mine‑closure projects.
• Proven ability to work safely and effectively in remote locations and extreme climates.
• Experience with rotational work schedules (e.g., 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off).
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety leadership.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, reporting tools).
