Insulator – Construction Insulation Specialist

About the role

Alliance Drywall Inc. is seeking a skilled Insulator to join our Calgary team. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, ensuring buildings are properly insulated for energy efficiency and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Select the appropriate type of insulation based on project specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape insulating materials using hand and power tools.
• Apply insulation by spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, or other approved methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• Install vapour barriers and fire‑retardant materials.
• Brush waterproofing cement or similar products over installed insulation.
• Fabricate and install removable insulation pads and covers.
• Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment.
• Safely remove hazardous insulation materials such as asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, mould, and urea‑formaldehyde.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of hands‑on insulation experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Scaffolding assembly and rigging.
• Hoisting equipment operation.
• Asbestos and hazardous material removal.
