Instructional Designer – Remote, $50/hr Part-time

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Instructional Designer to support our AI research labs in the education sector. You will work remotely, dedicating 15–20 hours per week to evaluate and improve AI models that process visual documents and follow instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI model performance on visual document understanding and instruction‑following tasks within education.
• Design complex, grounded tasks with clear ground‑truth outputs and objective rubrics.
• Review AI‑generated content, identify errors, and refine outputs to boost model accuracy.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure task relevance and consistency.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and enhance model performance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in visual document understanding.
• Experience working in the education domain.
• Ability to author detailed tasks and evaluation rubrics.
• Strong independent work ethic and ability to meet asynchronous deadlines.
