In-Store Sales Representative

About the role

The In‑Store Sales Representative processes walk‑in and telephone orders for gases and welding products, supports customers with product selection, and helps meet sales targets for Linde Canada’s packaged gas business.

Key responsibilities

• Efficiently process customer orders and respond to walk‑in and phone inquiries.
• Sell gases and welding products, focusing on up‑selling to both in‑person and remote customers.
• Handle cash, charge, and credit‑card transactions and amend orders for invoicing.
• Maintain local inventory control, manage branch stock, and oversee surplus inventory for hard goods and cylinders.
• Complete end‑of‑day, weekly and monthly processes, including SOX reports and the Big 5 Report.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and branch transfers of customer orders.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma or equivalent experience in industrial supplies or customer service.
• Proven focus on customer satisfaction and ability to up‑sell effectively.
• Knowledge of the welding industry and processes is preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a team environment and lift up to 60 lb.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite – intermediate to advanced proficiency.
• General computer proficiency in a business environment.
