Import Consolidation Clerk

About the role

The Import Consolidation Clerk supports the Senior Manager, Import by coordinating the transportation and import process from overseas suppliers. This role ensures shipments are prepared, loaded, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining accurate records in the ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Contact overseas suppliers to confirm readiness of goods and arrange timely shipments.
• Organize container loading, ensuring full utilization and compliance with company rules.
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to keep shipments on schedule.
• Validate and revise loading plans, consolidate LCL cargo, and monitor empty space in containers.
• Follow up on late shipments, delayed orders, and rush items such as seasonal or low‑stock products.
• Verify shipping mark dimensions and hold vendors accountable when necessary.
• Enter shipment data into the SAP ERP system and perform other team‑support tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• College Diploma (AEC) in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in import/export or logistics.
• Strong analytical attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using SAP (or similar ERP systems) is an asset.
