Hydrovac Truck Operator

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team in Winnipeg. You will be responsible for safely operating a hydrovac vehicle, performing inspections, and delivering excellent customer service across various sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance on the hydrovac truck.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, and relay details to central dispatch.
• Coach colleagues on new methods and maintain professionalism in customer interactions.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, lift up to 23 kg, and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid Class 3 or D driver’s licence with Air Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Clean driving record, basic security clearance and willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing.

Required skills

• Air Brake (Z) endorsement.

• Manual transmission operation.
• Knowledge of accident/incident, dangerous‑goods, inspection, maintenance and trip reporting.
