Human Resources & People Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources & People Operations Manager to build and lead our people function from the ground up. This high‑impact position combines hands‑on execution with strategic partnership for a fast‑growing startup of 20‑25 team members.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, off‑boarding, contracts, and documentation.
• Coordinate payroll, time tracking, and compensation administration.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable HR systems, policies, and processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR‑related matters.
• Develop and embed a strong, human‑centered company culture as the organization scales.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented professional with a track record of building HR functions in early‑stage companies.
• Strong strategic mindset paired with the ability to execute day‑to‑day HR operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

Required skills

What we offer

• Competitive salary between $90,000 and $110,000 CAD per year.
