HR Business Partner – Retail Stores

About the role

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic ally for associates and leaders across retail stores, distribution, transportation, and print hub teams. You will help shape an engaging work environment, address performance issues, and support talent development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and address issues affecting associate commitment through site visits and meetings.
• Provide counsel to managers on performance management, progressive counseling, and terminations.
• Communicate with associates on performance, policy, and work‑life matters.
• Investigate concerns, ensure legislative compliance, and support return‑to‑work plans.
• Coordinate internal development programs and lead succession planning initiatives.
• Advise management on optimizing human capital, resource planning, and orientation.
• Analyze trends and best practices, offering recommendations to enhance initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree or post‑secondary education preferred.
• Certificate/Degree in Human Resources Management preferred.
• 5+ years progressive HR experience in recruiting, training, and employee relations.
• Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights, and Health & Safety legislation.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
