HR Business Partner

About the role

The HR Business Partner will provide strategic, consultative HR support to a portfolio of business units at TD in Toronto. You will work closely with senior leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, driving growth and value.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic HR advice and solutions that support business priorities and growth initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor, offering change‑management leadership and thought partnership.
• Support business planning by providing HR insights on strategy, FTE management, and objective setting.
• Develop and execute talent management, diversity, and leadership development strategies.
• Guide leaders through organizational design, talent acquisition, compensation, and capability development.
• Manage complex change initiatives using appropriate HR channels.
• Prioritize work based on business needs, identify improvement opportunities, and lead special projects as a subject‑matter expert.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and risk‑management standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR business partnering or a similar consultative HR role.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated expertise in talent management, diversity initiatives, and change management.
• Ability to translate HR insights into actionable business strategies.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
