Hospital Porter – Full-time

About the role

Humber River Health is seeking a dedicated Porter to join its Patient Portering Services team. In this onsite role you will support the efficient movement of patients, supplies and equipment throughout the hospital, contributing to a safe and high‑quality care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Transport patients, pharmacy supplies, patient records and specimens between departments.
• Move medical and surgical equipment, case carts and other essential items as needed.
• Assist with dispatching and distribution of medical‑surgical supplies.
• Collect and properly dispose of used instruments, trays and other supplies from across the facility.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Excellent attendance record and discipline‑free history.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role.

Required skills

• Machinery operation (with training).
