Home Child Care Provider – Live-in Option

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home child care provider to care for a multi‑aged group of school‑age children (6‑12 years) in a private Toronto residence. The role includes full household responsibility, light housekeeping, meal preparation and safe transportation to school and appointments. Optional live‑in accommodation is available at no charge, though it is not a condition of employment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household when parents are absent, including light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Discipline children according to parents’ requested methods and support their personal hygiene and social development.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities and health information for each child.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment throughout the home.
• Organise games, outings and other activities appropriate for school‑age children (6‑12 years).
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments and extracurricular activities.
• Support children’s emotional well‑being and assist with homework.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1 to less than 7 months of childcare experience.
• Ability to follow parents’ discipline methods and maintain detailed activity/health records.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, patience and client‑focused judgement.
• Ability to provide references for security and safety checks.
