Home Child Care Provider

About the role

We are seeking a caring and reliable Home Child Care Provider to join a family in Vancouver. You will work in the employer’s home, providing comprehensive care for infants and children while supporting household needs.

Key responsibilities

• Change diapers and assist with toilet training as directed by parents.
• Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and serve nutritious meals.
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence, including light housekeeping, laundry, and ironing.
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline according to parental guidelines.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene, social development, and assist with homework.
• Maintain daily activity and health records, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
• Organize games, outings, and other activities for children.
• Prepare and supervise rest periods, and transport children to school, appointments, and activities.
• Support children’s emotional well‑being and overall development.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of child‑care experience.
• Clear criminal record check.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a non‑smoking, scent‑free home environment.
• Personal qualities: client focus, interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, good judgement, organization, reliability, teamwork, time management, patience, honesty.
