Home Child Care Provider

About the role

This full‑time, permanent position provides in‑home care for infants and children in a private household in Edmonton. The provider will follow the parents' guidelines while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for the children.

Key responsibilities

• Change diapers, assist with toilet training, and maintain personal hygiene.
• Prepare and sterilize bottles, feed infants and children, and serve nutritious meals.
• Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning and organizing children’s spaces.
• Plan and supervise games, outings, and educational activities.
• Maintain daily activity and health records, and prepare children for rest periods.
• Discipline according to parents' methods and support emotional well‑being.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation.
• 1‑2 years of child‑care experience, including work with children who have allergies.
• Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
• Clear background checks (Child Abuse Registry, criminal record, vulnerable sector).
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg and work under pressure.

Required skills

• First Aid and CPR proficiency.
