Home Child Care Provider

About the role

This position provides in‑home care for infants and children in a private household in Edmonton. The caregiver will create a safe, nurturing environment while supporting daily routines and developmental activities.

Key responsibilities

• Bath, dress, and feed infants and children according to their individual needs.
• Teach personal hygiene habits and promote social development through age‑appropriate activities.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of activities, meals, and health information.
• Plan and supervise games, outings, and educational play.
• Prepare and serve balanced, nutritious meals.
• Organize rest periods and ensure a calm bedtime routine.
• Provide constant supervision and attentive care throughout the day.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
• Client‑focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and child needs.
• Physical stamina for repetitive and demanding tasks.
• Willingness to learn on the job; training will be provided.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of child health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow nutrition and meal‑preparation standards.
• Record‑keeping proficiency for daily activity logs.
