Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

Join our team in Calgary as a Heavy Equipment Operator, where you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and ensuring safe, efficient site operations. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, interpreting plans and maintaining equipment to support residential and road construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and graders.
• Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment tanks; conduct pre‑operational checks.
• Prepare accident reports and maintain safety documentation.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, WHMIS, CSTS, and Ground Disturbance Level 1 certificates.
• Physically demanding work with strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
