Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Maintenance & Repair

About the role

CanCrete Equipment Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join its team in Rocky View, AB. You will be responsible for keeping a fleet of heavy trucks and hydraulic‑operated attachments running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment and determine required repairs.
• Order parts, maintain inventory and keep accurate maintenance reports.
• Adjust, repair or replace defective components, including hydraulic systems and pumps.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication and other preventive maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2–3 years of experience repairing heavy trucks and hydraulic equipment.
• Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T) and specialization in hydraulic‑operated attachments.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 45 kg and standing for long periods.
• Clear criminal record, driving record and valid driver’s licence.
• Personal qualities: accurate, dependable, team‑player and strong oral communication.
