Heavy Equipment Dozer Operator – 14‑day Rotation

About the role

Join NACG’s remote mining team in the Fort McMurray area as a Dozer Operator on a 14‑day rotation schedule. You will operate various dozers to support overburden removal and grading while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate D8‑D10 sized dozers in a mining environment, including bulk‑pushing and working on muskeg/soft ground.
• Read stakes and place grades as required, perform equipment walk‑arounds, safety checks, and field‑level risk assessments.
• Report repairs, incidents, near‑misses, and equipment damage promptly to maintenance or supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience operating dozers in a mining setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to provide a recent driver’s abstract.
• Strong safety‑first attitude and ability to follow written instructions.

Required skills

• Dozer operation (D8‑D10 models).
• Bulk‑pushing and overburden removal.
• Stake reading and grade placement.
• Use of personal protective equipment and safety compliance.

What we offer

• Combined pay rate up to $51.29 CAD per hour (including overtime premiums).
• 14‑day rotation with 12‑hour paid shifts, night‑shift premium, and up to 61 hours overtime per rotation.
• Benefits after 400 hours: medical, dental, pension, and paid vacation/holiday.
• Transportation to and from Fort McMurray, PPE provided, and union membership with IUOE Local 955.
