Health Services Manager

About the role

The Health Services Manager will be accountable to the appropriate Director and will lead the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation and operation of health services across the assigned facilities within Prairie Mountain Health. This role focuses on nursing leadership, collaborative practice, equipment and environmental management, and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee safe administration and operation of client services throughout the health region.
• Monitor financial, human resources, equipment and environmental aspects of services.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures related to client services.
• Lead planning and development of sustainable health programs.
• Participate in regional and facility team structures and maintain functional relationships with other departments.
• Promote professional development for staff and ensure alignment with the organization’s vision, mission and values.
• Champion quality dimensions of access, safety, effectiveness and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, health‑related field or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current registration with the applicable licensing body and a valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s licence.
• Certificate in Health Services Management or Nursing Administration.
• At least three years of recent healthcare experience and a minimum of two years in a management role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, employee‑relations and policy‑development abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize in a changing environment and respect cultural diversity and confidentiality.
