Handbag Designer – Fashion Accessories

About the role

The Handbag Designer will play a key role in shaping ALDO’s global handbag collections. Working closely with merchandise and development teams, you will translate market trends into compelling designs that appear across ALDO and ALDO Accessories stores worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Research and interpret global fashion trends to create viable handbag ranges.
• Develop concepts from sketch to technical specifications, including hardware, pattern, shape, and size.
• Produce hand and technical sketches and maintain a seasonal design library.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team to bring new lines to market.
• Coordinate with the footwear team to ensure visual consistency across store offerings.
• Present trends and key items at quarterly meetings and travel to enhance market knowledge.

Required profile

• University degree in Fashion, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of handbag design experience with strong knowledge of key silhouettes.
• Highly attuned to fashion trends and able to translate them visually.
• Strong technical understanding of handbag construction and materials.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Team player with initiative and a collaborative mindset.
