Guideway Assistant Superintendent

About the role

The Guideway Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in delivering elevated guideway projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, safely, and to high quality standards. This position is based on construction sites across Ontario and involves coordination with multiple trades and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing on‑site construction of elevated guideways.
• Help maintain project progress in line with the approved schedule.
• Coordinate supply chain activities and subcontractor schedules.
• Supervise crews working on guideway foundations, substructure, and superstructure.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, specifications, and codes.
• Support erection of concrete and steel structures, including planning deliveries and on‑site logistics.
• Manage erection and lifting procedures to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, inspection records, and safety documentation.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and adhere to project health‑and‑safety policies.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as an assistant superintendent or in a similar role on large infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
• Valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s licence.
• Relevant safety and supervisor training certifications.
