Ground Handler – Full-Time/Part-Time (E‑Commerce)

About the role

Join Cargojet, Canada’s leading air‑cargo airline, as a Ground Handler supporting e‑commerce shipments. You will ensure safe, timely loading and unloading of aircraft and trucks while maintaining strict safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload aircraft and trucks using ground support equipment.
• Lift and move packages up to 60 lb repeatedly.
• Sort packages by customer, destination airport, and other criteria.
• Communicate piece counts and package information to lead hands and supervisors.
• Follow all safety, security, and dangerous‑goods protocols.
• Perform general housekeeping and support hazardous‑materials handling.
• Meet time‑sensitive deadlines for freight build‑up and break‑down.
• Complete required training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention).

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (or equivalent).
• Ability to obtain a RAIC security pass.
• Physical ability to lift 60 lb repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong punctuality, attendance, and team‑first attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and statutory holidays.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
