Grocery Clerk – Part‑Time

About the role

Food Basics is seeking a part‑time Grocery Clerk to keep the store shelves stocked, organized, and inviting for customers. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, supporting the grocery team and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and store products in the backroom or cooler.
• Restock shelves, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations and rotated using the first‑in‑first‑out method.
• Maintain a clean and tidy store by sweeping, mopping, and promptly handling spills.
• Assist customers in locating products, answer product‑related questions, and provide shopping recommendations.
• Help customers load groceries into their vehicles when needed.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and report discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
• Receive product shipments and verify invoice accuracy.
• Set up and maintain promotional displays, end caps, signage, and price tags.

• Enthusiastic about the food industry and enjoys helping others.
• Reliable, able to work days, evenings, and weekends as scheduled.
