About the role

Polaris School and Centre is looking for a dedicated Grade School Class Teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role involves delivering Waldorf‑inspired, hands‑on learning experiences to a split‑grade classroom in a collaborative, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver main lesson blocks and supplemental lessons following Waldorf pedagogy.
• Integrate movement, arts, and experiential activities into core academic subjects.
• Assess student progress and communicate results to students, parents, and faculty.
• Identify and address individual learning needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, mentoring, and professional‑development workshops.

Required profile

• Waldorf Teacher Training Certification or Ontario Teacher Certification.
• At least one year of teaching experience (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in English; additional languages such as French are an asset.
