About the role

The D.R. Hamilton School is seeking a dedicated Grade 3‑4 Teacher to join its community in Cross Lake, Manitoba. This permanent position starts on September 8, 2026 and offers the chance to teach in a supportive northern environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Manitoba Grade 3 and 4 curriculum to a mixed‑age classroom.
• Plan and implement lessons that incorporate school‑based technology.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment.
• Assess student progress and communicate results to parents and the school community.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage with the local Indigenous community.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education degree.
• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate or eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of the provincial curriculum.
• Previous classroom teaching experience.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with Indigenous ways of life (asset).
• Experience working in a northern community (asset).

Required skills

• Proficiency with school‑based technology tools.
