About the role

The Dairy/Frozen Department Manager leads the daily operations of the dairy and frozen sections in a Walmart store. You will ensure product availability, maintain food safety standards, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting a team of hourly associates.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor hourly associates, assigning duties, providing coaching, and recognizing performance.
• Order merchandise on schedule to keep shelves stocked.
• Maintain zero pricing errors through the Scanning Credibility Program.
• Ensure compliance with cold‑chain policies, temperature monitoring, food‑handling procedures, product rotation, and expiration dates.
• Execute mark‑up/mark‑down processes, price changes, labeling, and clearance activities.
• Address customer complaints, process returns, and resolve issues to preserve brand reputation.
• Manage departmental budgets, including shrink control.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Ability to work full‑time in an onsite retail environment.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
• Commitment to Walmart’s basic beliefs and values.
