General Labourer - Manufacturing

About the role

Join Gemtron Canada Corporation as a General Labourer in our Midland manufacturing plant. You will support daily production activities in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment, handling raw materials and assisting machine operators.

Key responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually.
• Check, weigh, sort, pack, crate and package materials and products.
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers with production tasks.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.
• Heat, anneal, temper or form float glass and other glass products.

Required profile

• Punctual, dependable and able to work flexible shifts, including early morning, evening or night.
• Physically capable of handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lb) and standing for extended periods.
• Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination.
• Team‑player with good oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Operation of glass cutting equipment and tempering techniques.
• Heat‑treating processes such as annealing and tempering glass.
