Full‑time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

The Fraser Health Trauma Network is seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant for activations and consultations, providing 24/7 on‑call coverage on a rotating schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide expert consultation for trauma patients.
• Serve as the Medical Responsible Person (MRP) for admitted trauma cases.
• Participate in on‑site daytime call and home call with a maximum 30‑minute travel time to the hospital.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of trauma care protocols within a Level 3 trauma centre.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible physician in emergency medicine, surgery, or related specialty.
• Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team of nine trauma physicians.
• Ability to be on‑call 24/7 for approximately seven days every two months.
• Commitment to serving the Fraser Valley community and adhering to inclusive, culturally safe practices.
