Full‑Time Staff Pharmacist

About the role

The Full‑Time Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in daily pharmacy operations at a Walmart location. The role focuses on delivering safe, accurate medication dispensing and high‑quality patient care while maintaining compliance with provincial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Accept and process prescription and refill requests from customers, doctors, and hospitals.
• Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely following established workflow models.
• Counsel patients on prescribed and over‑the‑counter pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical products.
• Operate pharmacy equipment, including registers and computer systems.
• Protect patient privacy and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Provide eligible services such as medication reviews and injections.
• Assist the Pharmacy Manager in executing business action plans to meet corporate goals.

Required profile

• Pharmacist licence (additional prescribing authorization optional in Alberta).
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Ability to work the posted business hours and keep the pharmacy operational.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and register systems.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate medication preparation.
• Knowledge of provincial pharmacy regulations and privacy standards.
