Full-Time Sales Associate (Retail)

About the role

The Sales Associate will deliver excellent customer service in a busy retail environment, handling transactions, stock, and merchandising. This full‑time permanent position is based in Thunder Bay and requires a friendly, professional attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist every customer, providing product knowledge and outstanding service.
• Operate cash registers for sales, refunds, and special orders.
• Receive, unpack, and restock merchandise, including repricing and merchandising.
• Maintain store cleanliness and display standards.
• Assist with floor moves, visual merchandising, and promotional setups.
• Communicate customer requests and feedback to management.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by managers.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Previous retail experience, preferably in a related field.
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read, count, and write accurately for documentation.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes and fixtures.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
• Class 5 driver’s licence considered an asset.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) and cash register systems.
• Proficiency with basic computerized systems for sales and inventory tasks.
