About the role

COBS Bread is looking for personable Sales Assistants to join its Shawnessy location in Calgary. The role involves delivering a fresh‑bakery experience to customers, handling transactions, and supporting bakery operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with regular patrons.
  • Handle cash, credit and debit transactions at the POS.
  • Merchandise products and execute in‑store marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a clean bakery environment and assist with production, including baking scones, Danishes, and more.

Required profile

  • Positive, friendly attitude with a passion for fresh baked goods.
  • Reliable, self‑motivated and eager to learn new skills.
  • Team player who enjoys working with people.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 22 kg and perform repetitive hand motions.

Required skills

  • Experience handling cash and card transactions (preferred).
  • Retail experience (preferred).
