Full-time Outdoor Retail Outfitter

About the role

Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Outfitter will deliver legendary customer service and expert product advice to shoppers in the Calgary store. The role combines sales, visual merchandising and store support to create a world‑class outdoor retail experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting products by evaluating their needs and recommending appropriate gear.
• Maintain visual standards, including signage, product placement, restocking and floor cleanliness.
• Promote company programs, promotions and emerging outdoor‑lifestyle trends.
• Resolve customer issues using sound judgment and company policies.
• Support other store areas as business demands shift.
• Assist in inventory management and product receiving.
• Ensure compliance with safety and loss‑prevention procedures.

Required profile

• One or more years of experience in a sales or service environment (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong ability to assess customer needs and make product recommendations.
• Demonstrated passion for the outdoors and knowledge of related trends.
• Ability to use good judgment and logical problem‑solving.
• Experience or interest in outdoor lifestyle products.
