Full-Time Elementary Teacher – French Second Language

About the role

The Keewatin‑Patricia District School Board is seeking a full‑time Elementary Teacher to deliver French Second Language instruction at Ignace Public School. This position serves a vibrant northern‑Ontario community and offers a competitive salary based on experience and QECO rating.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess French Second Language lessons for primary/junior or junior/intermediate classes.
• Create engaging, inclusive lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff and administration to foster a positive learning environment.
• Participate in school and board initiatives, meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Ontario Teacher Certification with qualifications for Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate and French Second Language.
• Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification.
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check or Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (employee expense).
• Three professional references, including a recent supervisor.
