Full-time Cook

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at GINO's Pizza in St. Catharines. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring food safety, and supporting smooth kitchen operations. This full‑time permanent position offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced pizza restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies to keep the kitchen stocked.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, including pizza and other menu items.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, following specific instructions.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and safe handling of food.
• Maintain inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas regularly.
• Manage overall kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of cooking experience.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, nights, and day shifts as needed.
• No formal degree, certificate or diploma required.
