Full-time Consort Bar Server

About the role

The Consort Bar at the historic Omni King Edward Hotel is seeking a full‑time server to deliver personalized, professional food and beverage service. You will work in a vibrant downtown Toronto setting, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables.
• Take orders, suggest menu items, and address dietary restrictions.
• Present orders promptly and courteously.
• Process payments and present accurate checks.
• Maintain clean tables and work areas throughout the shift.
• Attend pre‑shift briefings, training sessions, and mandatory meetings.
• Follow food handling regulations and service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year serving experience (preferably in a four‑star/four‑diamond hotel or resort).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexible schedule – able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb and stand for the duration of a shift.
• Smart Serve certification and knowledge of liquor laws.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Required skills

• Experience with MICROS POS system.
