Full-Time Class 1 Operator – 24/16 Rotational Schedule

About the role

Vertex is seeking experienced Class 1 Operators to join its Fort McMurray team on a full‑time, 24/16 rotational schedule. The role involves operating Semi Vac, Super B, Combo Vac and tanker units while delivering reliable service to customers in the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction on every trip.
• Follow all company, DOT, and hazardous material regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping on equipment to keep units clean and efficient.
• Complete daily logs, dispatch reports, trip reports and timesheets within required timelines.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and report any inefficiencies to supervisors.
• Adhere to all environmental health and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean commercial abstract.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating Combo Units or Semi Vac equipment.
• Minimum 2 years experience hauling fluids with Super B and tanker units.
• Safety certifications such as H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO, CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry.
• Drug & alcohol testing results non‑negative and ELD logbook experience.
• Ability to work independently, maintain good health and physical condition, and accept occasional out‑of‑town work.
