Full Stack Developer (Remote, Canada)

About the role

This fully remote position is for a Senior Full Stack Developer based in Canada, contributing to large‑scale digital transformation initiatives for public‑facing services. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with product owners, designers, and other engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable applications that improve citizen experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in discovery activities, including user interviews and technical research, to shape solution design.
• Lead technical discovery, producing architectural diagrams and documentation.
• Design, develop, and deliver full‑stack features aligned with transformation goals.
• Ensure high‑quality code, performance, and reliability of services.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve functional and non‑functional issues.
• Improve code quality, tooling, and documentation for long‑term maintainability.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product stakeholders to create cohesive user experiences.
• Provide technical guidance on implementation approaches and support deployments, releases, and production rollouts.
• Contribute reusable components, frameworks, and best practices to strengthen engineering standards.
• Support onboarding of new developers and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer in complex, Agile environments.
• Strong experience with Git and collaborative version‑control workflows.
• 3+ years building production applications using modern web or application frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with automated testing (unit and integration).
• 3+ years working with relational and/or non‑relational databases.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and scalable system design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
