Full Stack Application Developer

About the role

The Government of Alberta is looking for an experienced Full Stack Application Developer to maintain, enhance, and modernise a suite of investment‑focused web applications. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite collaboration in Edmonton.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop front‑end and back‑end components using StencilJS, Angular and Umbraco CMS.
• Build and maintain reusable UI components and responsive web interfaces.
• Create data pipelines, ETL processes and SQL‑based reporting solutions.
• Integrate REST and SOAP APIs and support Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and Databricks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud‑hosted applications in Microsoft Azure for performance, scalability and reliability.
• Perform unit testing, support UAT and implement automated testing practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with product owners and provide technical documentation.
• Support release deployments, coordinate schedules and provide on‑call operational support.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of SQL development experience.
• At least 6 years designing complex components with StencilJS.
• 6+ years developing applications on Umbraco CMS.
• 6+ years working with socio‑economic data sets and reporting tools.
