Frontend Engineer, Consumer

About the role

HelloFresh is expanding its portfolio with a new vertical for vitamins and supplements. As a Frontend Engineer you will help shape the experience for customers across multiple brands and markets, delivering fast, reliable, and delightful web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy frontend solutions for HelloFresh’s consumer products.
• Own the architecture, implementation, and operational health of the features you build.
• Collaborate daily with product owners, backend engineers, designers, and BI teams in an autonomous, cross‑functional agile environment.
• Apply platform best practices, pair programming, and continuous‑delivery pipelines to ship high‑quality code.
• Mentor teammates and act as an ambassador for modern software engineering practices.

Required profile

• Solution‑oriented engineer who thrives in autonomous, agile teams.
• Strong curiosity about HelloFresh’s core products and the ability to quickly grasp complex e‑commerce and supply‑chain domains.
• Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge with peers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with React JS (or comparable frameworks such as React Native, Angular, Vue.js).
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying customer‑facing applications.
• Experience writing unit, integration, and functional tests using TDD/BDD methodologies.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Honeycomb, Sentry, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Practical use of AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) for code navigation and onboarding.
