Frontend Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Frontend Developer to join 1280 Labs remotely and help build clean, responsive, and reliable web applications for a variety of clients. You will collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to turn concepts into polished user experiences, while contributing to the overall frontend architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue or Angular.
• Create responsive, accessible UI components for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Work closely with designers to translate wireframes and product requirements into high‑quality UI.
• Integrate frontend code with REST APIs, authentication flows and third‑party services.
• Improve performance, code quality, scalability and maintainability of the frontend stack.
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning and architecture discussions.
• Debug and support production issues and contribute to reusable component libraries.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design and browser behavior.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, state management and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git, code reviews and automated testing.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
