Frontend Developer – Hybrid (Toronto)

About the role

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join Folded Atoms in Toronto. The role focuses on building modern, responsive dashboard applications for supply‑chain professionals using React and related technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance web applications with React, Next.js and Vite.
• Create dynamic dashboards using Chart.js, D3.js, and Recharts.
• Integrate with GraphQL and RESTful APIs and implement state management with React Query or Redux.
• Build reusable component libraries with shadcn/ui, Tailwind CSS and Storybook.
• Optimize performance through code splitting, lazy loading and caching strategies.
• Implement authentication flows using AWS Cognito and JWT tokens.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and data models.
• Write clean TypeScript code with comprehensive test coverage (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to AWS (S3, CloudFront, ECS).

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Proven experience building production‑grade applications with React and Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility and WCAG 2.1 accessibility.
